Welcome Cavallaro families to the 2020-2021 school year! I hope you enjoyed a restful summer, your families are safe and you are ready to begin a new school year. This most certainly will be a challenging opening like no other in history, but together we will persevere and come out that much stronger...I am certain of it. As always, maintaining open lines of communication will be the key to our success. Please make sure to register for Pupilpath, monitor information posted on our school website and reach out via email if necessary.
Attached you will find the sample letter which has been mailed to each students' home address today. Please give it a few days to get to you through the postal service. The letter will inform you of your child's official class and their Learning Group (A, B or Remote). Please read it carefully and contact your child's Dean or Assistant Principal if there are any issues. In the coming days, we will be receiving additional information from the DOE regarding the yearly calendar, bell schedules, safety measures/protocols, arrival/dismissal procedures, class programming/configuration, remote/blended expectations and transportation information. I will share that with you as soon as it is available.
Next week, I will be scheduling a parent meeting through Zoom to provide additional guidance and support. (Date and time TBD)
As always, I look forward to seeing our Cav students and sharing in this partnership with you, ensuring that your child receives the best education possible as a member of our I.S. 281 family.
