Here is the news for the week:
-
I would like to take a moment to thank Ms. Mohassib for successfully organizing and supervising 2 HUGE back-to-back Senior events last week for our 8th graders. Tuesday morning, our academic scholars and their families were honored during the Senior Awards ceremony. These future graduates were celebrated for excelling in their academic content areas, serving as leaders among their peers. Special thanks to Ms. Huliaris, Ms. Zambri, Ms. Rubin and to all of our teachers who assisted in making the ceremony so special for our 8th grade honorees. Event #2 was the Pocono Valley Senior Trip, held on Wednesday. Our seniors and staff couldn’t have asked for a better day. They enjoyed swimming, ziplining, rock climbing, lake activities and more. Special thanks to all of the staff who volunteered their time to attend the trip.

Congratulations to our Boys Volleyball team, who won last week’s semi-final playoff game! They will be playing for the Brooklyn Championships on June 10th at 4pm, and the game will be at HOME! Please, let’s have a huge showing of support for our boys, Ms. Kasdan and Mr. Marku, as they compete for the TOP spot in Brooklyn!

This week, our 8th graders will be excitedly preparing for graduation, which will be held on Monday, June 16th at 9:00am at the Amphitheatre. We ask all 8th grade families to please make sure that all accounts are cleared, ie. any school related materials at home such as textbooks, calculators, i-pads and/or chromebooks are returned to the school prior to graduation.
-
Given the anticipation of warmer weather as we close out the school year, please make sure that your child continues to follow our school uniform policy. They should be coming to school wearing the appropriate attire for school.
