Having had the privilege to serve as your Deputy Superintendent, I am honored to continue this journey in partnership with all of you, our incredible educators, families, students, and community members.
I would like to begin by acknowledging the extraordinary leadership of our former Superintendent, who has served this community with passion, integrity, and dedication for the past 16 years. Her unwavering commitment to the students and families of District 21 has set a powerful foundation, one that I am committed to upholding and building upon. Her legacy of excellence, equity, and heart-driven leadership will continue to guide our path forward.
With more than 24 years in public education and a lifelong dedication to student success, I remain driven by the belief that every child, regardless of background, deserves access to an excellent, inclusive, and enriching education. As a champion for literacy, I’ve had the privilege of leading the NYC Reads initiative in District 21, helping to drive meaningful gains for our students, particularly those from historically underserved communities.
My leadership is rooted in high expectations, strong family and community partnerships, and a whole child approach to education. Together, we will continue to ensure our schools are places where all children thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. From expanding access to academic interventions and enrichment opportunities to deepening our focus on equity and student voice, I am committed to ensuring that every school in our district is a place of opportunity, innovation, and joy.
To the families and caregivers who are the heart of this community, I deeply value your partnership and insight. Your voices will continue to play a vital role in shaping our schools and ensuring the success of every child. To our educators and school leaders, thank you for your tireless commitment.
