A special thank you to all of our department teachers for assisting in rolling out the school year. Specifically, our science dept. took care of GRP safety lessons, our social studies dept. will be taking care of SGO elections and facilitated 9/11 remembrance, our talent teachers will be handling our IMPACT focus for the year, our foreign language teachers are rolling out full grade curriculum implementation with 6th grade Latin and 8th grade Spanish, our physical education teachers are handling uniforms and new locker room procedures and our ELA and math depts. took care of Jupiter letters and Yondr parent contracts, and will move on to diagnostic administration and secondary screeners. A true team effort.

Our Grade assemblies were a success last week, a special thank you to our APs, Deans and Guidance Counselors. Academic and behavioral expectations were discussed, with an emphasis on kindness, respect and self-motivation, as well as a reminder of our cell phone policy using Yondr pouches and the importance of utilizing Jupiter. Moving forward, please make every effort to support your child in following proper school rules and regs.

This week, Student Government Organization elections will be in two phases. The first phase we will elect our new class representatives in each grade while phase 2 will elect our new student leadership cabinet of 6th grade Treasurer, 7th grade Vice President, and 8th grade Student Body President. If your child is interested in running, please have them speak with their Social Studies teacher.

This week, we will begin conducting our GRP safety drills, specifically, evacuation and soft lock down drills. Students reviewed procedures and protocols in science classes last week, as well as viewed DOE safety videos.

Friday, all of our students received important notices to bring home in their Math classes, providing you with information to register and access Jupiter. Jupiter is our online grading and family communication system. Once you register, you will have access to all of your child's teachers, their homework assignments, attendance, projects, tests and grades. You will be able to communicate with teachers, and your child's teachers will be able to communicate with you. This valuable resource bridges the home and school environment for our students, bringing us together as one school community.Please follow the instructions in that letter carefully. If you have any questions regarding access or registration, please reach out to Ms. DiMatteo, our parent coordinator.
