We celebrated National Custodian Appreciation Day Friday, as we thanked and honored all that our custodial staff does to keep our building clean, safe and running in good condition. Keeping our building clean is only a small part of the work they do. They are constantly troubleshooting maintenance issues, managing upkeep of the facilities and ensuring that our school remains a welcoming and functional place for all. Please take the time to thank them for their dedicated service to our school community.

Thank you for the hard work and dedication of our SGO. Friday, we finished our elections with grade assemblies for all of our cabinet positions. Our candidates gave their speeches, and I am very proud of their sense of self-confidence, leadership and a willingness to have their voices heard. At this time, I’m very happy to congratulate and announce our new SGO Cabinet:
6th Grade Secretary
7th Grade Vice President
8th Grade Student Body President
Special thanks to Ms. Cradazone, Ms. Dougherty, Ms. Pappalardo, and Ms. Verdi for managing the election process, as well as to Ms. Mohassib, our SGO supervisor. Also, a shout out to all teachers who took care of conducting the elections in their classrooms. The main focus this year for our SGO will be to incorporate SEL into the school day.

We had excellent attendance results for the first month of school! We had 706 out of 1105 students with 100% Perfect Attendance for the month of September. The numbers are as follows:
6th Grade 186 out of 303
7th Grade 247 out of 379
8th Grade 273 out of 423
We had our first lottery drawing Friday, whereby one student from each grade was randomly chosen to receive $25 in gift cards. In the coming weeks, we will incorporate our weekly game/sports equipment giveaways at the end of each week, recognizing 100% attendance for the week.
