A District 21 Soccer Coaches meeting was held last week, to review the details of the new pilot indoor soccer season. Our school will serve as the lead school for this exciting District 21 initiative. The season will include 8 participating schools, beginning this Tuesday and continuing through January. Special thanks to Ms. Vazquez who was instrumental in creating and structuring this pilot program in collaboration with Louis Comacho, our District PSAL rep.

As part of October's National Anti-Bullying Month, our art students participated in the Respect for All poster contest. The annual contest gives students an opportunity to showcase their efforts to prevent bullying and to raise awareness through artistic expression. Ms. Richman encouraged her students, who submitted some phenomenal pieces of art. We were only able to select two to submit to the Superintendent for the contest. Congratulations to the students whose work was selected to represent our school. The remaining pieces will be laminated and hung throughout the building. Excellent work!

Many of our 6th graders visited the New York Hall of Science of Friday, where they explored hands-on exhibits that connected directly to what they’re learning in class. Students investigated energy, motion, and engineering concepts through interactive activities that made science come alive. The purpose of the trip was to spark curiosity and deepen their understanding of scientific thinking in a fun, engaging way.
