I am deeply grateful for the trust placed in me, and I am excited to continue serving a community I know, respect, and care for so profoundly.
For more than two decades, I have had the privilege of working alongside the incredible educators, families, and students of this district—as a teacher, assistant principal, principal, deputy superintendent, and most recently as acting superintendent. Every role has strengthened my belief in what makes District 21 extraordinary: our diversity, our resilience, our commitment to one another, and our shared belief that every child deserves an excellent education and a joyful school experience.
As superintendent, my focus is clear. I am committed to building strong, coherent instructional systems that ensure every student across every neighborhood, grade level, and program has access to rigorous, inclusive, and engaging learning. I am equally committed to supporting our principals, teachers, and staff with the tools, professional learning, and collaborative structures they need to thrive. And I will continue to center equity in every decision we make, ensuring that multilingual learners, students with disabilities, and historically underserved groups receive the opportunities and supports they deserve.
Families are essential partners in this work. Your voice, your hopes for your children, and your lived experiences strengthen our schools. I look forward to deepening our connections, listening closely, and building systems that reflect the needs and aspirations of our community.
Most of all, I am excited for what we will accomplish together. District 21 is a place of possibility, and our students inspire me every single day. With shared purpose, collaboration, and a steadfast commitment to excellence, I know we will continue to build schools where every child feels seen, challenged, and supported.
